Course for MFE/3F April 2012 Exam: January 11 - March 25

Actuarial Exam Preparation Courses by G.V. Ramanathan

Registration information is at the bottom of this page

This online course  is designed to meet the needs of students preparing for SOA/CAS Exam MFE/3F.  It will be  like a regular academic course except that you won't have to travel and you won't have to be at a certain place at a certain time to attend the class.
How will it be run?
Every week I will send you a reading assignment, a write-up summarizing the basic concepts, illustrative exercises, and a quiz. You may ask me questions at any time and I will try to respond as promptly as I can. Also, I will put up discussions of common interest on the web site or send them by e-mail. This continual interaction is the most important part of the course.

There will be a Forum page on this web site through which you can hold discussions with other students.
During the course there will be two exams. (Please see the calendar below for dates.)  They will constitute excellent practice for taking the SOA exam.  Please reserve a good part of the day for each exam.
How will the exams be given?
I will send out the exam by e-mail and/or post it on course web site at 9 A.M. Central time. You take the allotted time and send me your answers. Then I will send you complete solutions and we will discuss any questions you might have.
