hardcover $1,642, paperback $1,641.

In this reviewer’s opinion, this is the best book on Stat that has ever been written. We all know how important Stat is. It is more important than Calc or Diffeeque. The last is not important because, even as its name implies, it is too difficult. And Calc is important only to dentists.
In these pages, the author gives an exhaustive account of Stat without going into any theory that can be a real turn-off. Fully two hundred pages are devoted to the calculation of mean and variance of uniform distributions – over (0,1) , (0,2) , (0,3) ,… (0,200). Some nitpickers might argue that distributions that are uniform over (1,2) or (0,1.5) are not treated. To them I say, “ Please, give the guy a break. He has written 3,168 pages and you cannot cover everything.”
Once the students memorize all the formulas – this book is indeed a compendium of important formulas – they should experience no difficulty in passing anything.
The author has promised a volume of index cards to accompany the book. We can all look forward to it with great anticipation.
In the interest of objectivity I must point out an error in the book. On page 2,463 the name “Poisson” is mispelt.
